Full Issue | Summer 2026

School’s out for summer and we’re serving up a new issue for your enjoyment. Tuck it into your beach bag or your carry-on, or cozy up with it on your couch over coffee. We’ve leaned hard into the humanities this time around, most notably with our cover feature about Gauchos from our film and media studies department — alums and faculty alike — who are lighting up Hollywood, and how UCSB helped ready them for their closeups. A handful of companion pieces spotlight a few individual success stories that also reflect the theme.

We’ve also got features on standout alumni artist Tiffany Chung, and on UCSB Library’s collaboration with the Dust-to-Digital Foundation to make a vast collection of historic American music available for free.

That’s in addition to all the other great stories from across campus, and our alumni community, that await. Get in there!

Like what you see? Let’s make this a regular thing.
